Welcome to Majestix CCG

Majestix focuses on collectible card games, mini games, comic books, and comic book-related merchandise. We have constructed tournaments and casual drafts for all of our gaming products. We are officially sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast, Konami, Upperdeck Entertainment, and Bandai, which means we get all of the exclusive product/promos for our tournaments. Majestix is ALWAYS buying singles for Magic: the Gathering, World of Warcraft TCG, and Yu-Gi-Oh! We also sell drinks and snacks and have enough playspace for 50+ players.

Our very own Alex Gellerman wins DMF: Los Angeles!

On December 4th, Alex Gellerman decided to pick up WoW TCG after a 12 month hiatus. He picked one of the highest-level events to make his return: DMF:Los Angeles. Playing against the game’s top players is daunting enough; imagine doing it after such a long layoff. On December 5th, Alex won DMF:LA and proved that he still has it. Congratulations to Alex!

September 16th - World of Warcraft TCG Icecrown Release Party

We had 21 players come out and be the first to try their hand at the new Icecrown set. We even had Cryptozoic employee William Brinkman and Head Designer Ben Cichoski in attendance! Ben brought plenty of goodies to give away as he was "gunslinging" throughout the night. Everyone had a great time and in the end, John Patchell came away with a 1st place finish.

September 18th - Magic: the Gathering "From the Vault Relics" Legacy Tournament

We held our first "high-level" Legacy Tournament that featured a prize pool (see below) of Dual Lands, From the Vault: Relics, Jace the Mind Sculptor, Vengevine, Force of Will, Show and Tell, and Fetchlands. It was our first foray into this growing format and it was a success. 17 players braved the wide-open Legacy format and in the end, Martin Heath Mackey (of Friday Night Slam), John Haruvel, local standout Derrick Cabrera, and Tony Deyvera were the last ones standing and walked away with some very good prizes! As you can see fro the decklists, Countertop is still at the top (pun intended!) as the Top 2 players played the controlling archetype. More prizes will be added to the pool and hopefully we draw more players next time!

August 8th - Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Revolution Sneak Peek Event

The Yugioh Sneak Peek event was a tremendous success. We had 32 players show up (with a few more we had to turn away) to get an advanced look at the Konami's newest set, Duelist Revolution. We handed out 4 exclusive playmats through raffles. The enthusiasm didn't stop there as had an impromptu constructed tournament, with 10 players ready to duel. In the end, Alex Hua came away with a 4-0 record and first place.

August 7th - Pokemon TCG HS Undaunted Pre-Release Event

It was the biggest Pokemon event we have ever had, with a whopping 45 players playing in the Sealed portion of the event. Hopefully this can launch our Pokemon League to a new level, bringing new players. Everything ran smoothly and everyone had a great time. Local juggernauts Anthony Quy (4-0) and Bryan Reza (4-0) squared off in a battle of undefeateds, with Bryan pulling out the victory (after not playing for a long time). A special thanks to Chris "CHRISBO" Boutcher and his staff for an excellent event. Let's do this again soon!

July 24th - World of Warcraft TCG Spectral Safari Tournament

It was the return (and first for us) of the Spectral Safari to Orange County and it was a wild success! We had a whopping 44 players come from as far out as San Diego, Bakersfield, Inland Empire, and LA County to compete in this unique event. Each player received (newly released) a random Class Starter Deck and played against each other in 8 rounds of Swiss action. In the end, Dan Lujan came away with the win as he walked away with a Blazing Hippogryph Loot card. Then the climactic raffle for the Spectral Tiger held everyone in suspense, and it was Paul Hollingsworth who came away the lucky raffle winner of the most coveted Loot card ever printed. Congrats to both Dan and Paul and thank you to everyone for making this a successful event. Special thanks goes out to William Brinkman for giving us plenty of Tiny Loot cards to give out to new players. Until the next Safari!

May 26th

We held a World of Warcraft Wrathgate Release Party on Wednesday, May 26th, and it was very successful, as the game was missed by many. We had special guest appearances by WoW TCG artist Glenn Rane, Cryptozoic employee Ryan Schueller (who brought a boatload of goodies to raffle off/give away), and the lovely ladies from Apotheosis Agency Jo-Jo, Cynthia, and Sija. We had 22 players show up to our event and everyone had a great time as we raffled off playmats and WoW t-shirts, and gave away plenty of EAs. Players were excited to get their cards signed by Glenn and there were tons of pictures taken with the girls. Special thanks to Ryan, Jo-Jo, and Glenn for doing their part in making this a fun-filled event!
